Sports event management specialist Red Sky at Night Events (RSANE) has been appointed to deliver event production and fan engagement for the 2017 ICC Women’s World Cup, which takes place in England during June and July 2017.

Following a competitive tender, ICC and host association ECB chose RSANE as their event production partner for what promises to be the biggest global women’s sporting event of the year; 8 top-ranked international women’s cricket teams compete in 31 one-day format matches across 5 venues, culminating in a final at Lord’s. The ICC Women’s World Cup will showcase the dynamic excitement and skill of elite female cricket, offer a fantastic family day out for cricket and sports fans and reach global audiences in their millions via live broadcast.

Red Sky at Night Events MD Jenny Gilmour, who founded the company in 2002, said “We’re delighted to be working with ICC, ECB and their many sponsors on such a prestigious international sporting event. ‘Who Runs The World?’ is the inspired theme for the 2017 ICC Women’s World Cup and this hugely confident expression really energised and inspired our proposals. RSANE has delivered event and fan activation at over 155 international events across the past 15 years and, quite uniquely, we retain the same vastly experienced and skilled core team; this, combined with our meticulous methods, creative flair, digital-savvy and our hard working ethos is what we’re all about”

The Women’s Cricket World Cup is another prestigious sporting event awarded to Red Sky at Night Events this year, following the British National Cycling Championships, which took place at the Manchester Velodrome in January 2017.
